A fairly busy week ahead with a GOP assembly convention, woman’s history month and the on-going federal racketeering trial of former Bergen County Democratic Chairman Joseph A. Ferriero.
Here are a few things to watch for:
1. On Monday, Republican committee members from Legislative District 38 will meet to decide who gets the party line for two state assembly seats.
There are three candidates: River Edge Councilman Anthony Cappola, Hasbrouck Heights lawyer Mark DiPisa and former former Bergen County Administrator Ed Trawinski of Fair Lawn.
2. Testimony resumes Tuesday as the Ferriero trial begins its fourth week in U.S. District Court in Newark.
3. The freeholders have a 4:30 p.m. work session on Wednesday. No word yet on the agenda. The meeting is in the Calabrese Caucus room on the fifth floor of the County Administration building at One Bergen County Plaza in Hackensack.
4. The County will host a women’s history month celebration at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the freeholder’s public meeting room on the fifth floor of the County Administration building.
